About Painted Rock Floral Designs
Painted rock is an idyllic spot on the south side of Block Island where people, for decades, have dragged their cans of paint, leaving their messages for all to see. A painted rock is also a whimsical merge of nature meeting the hands of an artist. I see my floral designs being just that. I love catering to every creative whim the bride and groom may have. My style is free spirited with a bit of rustic glamour, similar to Block Island. The passion and skill I put into creating both unique and more traditional arrangements is what I am devoted to. My method of design revolves around each couples individual style, personality, and budget. Every couple deserves nothing less than beautiful on their most special day… with their most perfect match… on the most exquisite island.
Inspired by Block Island
I have been on Block Island for my entire life, spending my summers. I now spend the season here with my two boys and my husband. It’s heaven to watch them soak up every minute, just as I did as a child. My family came here, over 60 years ago, and my grandmother opened a small French bakery on the island. It’s a dream come true to bring my business of floral design here. I work from my home on the southeast side where I have created a working space that is the ultimate inspiration for me. There are no bad days when wherever you look, there is boundless beauty! I hope to bring some of that inspiration to Block Island brides.
About Me
In the winter months I live in New York, where I attended Molloy College where I studied floral design and concepts. My knowledge and passion for dimension, color, texture, design and creativity is abundant in every arrangement I create.
